ACG Strathallan is a top independent school in Southern Auckland providing world-class education and accepting students from preschool age right through to senior secondary.
Established in 2001, ACG Strathallan has quickly gained a reputation for scholarship and excellence. A sense of intellectual curiosity and a love of learning characterise this school. We value academic excellence and pride ourselves in providing a safe and nurturing environment where teachers and students work together towards achieving their goals.
At ACG Strathallan, learning takes place in a positive social environment. We understand that learning and enjoyment go hand in hand. This is a place where teamwork is fostered, leadership nurtured and the individual is valued and appreciated. We encourage involvement and achievement outside the classroom. There are many opportunities to excel both in academic studies and in a range of other activities.
Our goal is to help each student become a confident, articulate young person with a strong sense of self-belief and integrity, who will leave Strathallan ready to make a positive contribution to society by leading a full, active and personally satisfying life.

Middleton Grange is a New Zealand state-integrated school, offering classes from Year 1 (5 years old) to Year 13 (18 years old).
We are located in the beautiful garden city of Christchurch, a thriving city of 400,000 people and international gateway to the South Island of New Zealand.
There are five specialist schools on the campus. We begin with a pre-school and finish with a Senior College. For our international community we have established Middleton Grange International College. As much as possible international students study alongside New Zealand students. But having an International College means we can create special programmes to help international students when they need it.
Middleton Grange School is FOUR SCHOOLS IN ONE. Each part has its own programmes and activities but join together into one community.
Within each school, students have a homeroom class (form class or vertical group) where they are supported and cared for in their time at school.
Each student and staff member are also a member of one of four Houses called; Bowen, Scott, Shackleton and Wilson. Houses compete against each other in fun activities such as athletics, singing and service.
The National Certificate of Educational Achievement (NCEA)
The NCEA is New Zealand’s national qualification for senior secondary pupils, and is part of the National Qualifications Framework. It provides the pathway to tertiary education and to work place training.
It is possible to design a multi-level course (subjects at a mix of Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3) but this should be discussed first with our Dean for Senior College International Students, Mr Gillon.
Making friends with New Zealand students is actively encouraged at Middleton Grange. We have a great reputation. In a recent survey Middleton Grange was the one school where international students said they made friends with New Zealand students. The friendships made here are not just between students, but between whole families and will last a lifetime.
We value your interest in our fine school. If you are looking for a friendly place where international students are provided an excellent education and are looked after like family, then Middleton Grange International College is the place for you.
St Hilda’s Collegiate School is a leading New Zealand Secondary School for girls. Places at St Hilda’s are highly sought after and there is keen competition to win a place by New Zealand students. St Hilda’s is a positive, friendly environment where we encourage and celebrate excellence and individual achievement.
The school has a maximum roll of 450 girls and we welcome 25 to 30 International students from a variety of countries to St Hilda’s.
Specialised English language tuition is provided for International students. They also access a significant part of their learning programme through our regular classes where they work alongside our New Zealand students building strong friendships and connections.
The school was founded in 1896 and today it is a blend of the traditional and the innovative.
St Hilda’s Collegiate School is a modern, attractive facility situated in the heart of Dunedin.
Living at Tolcarne
Tolcarne is the Boarding Residence for St Hilda’s Collegiate School. We support all girls to reach their potential in sporting, cultural and academic endeavours. Weekend activities organised by Tolcarne reflect the interests of the girls. Tolcarne promotes the values of empathy, trust, respect and integrity.
We are a boarding residence of distinction. There are very strong connections between St Hilda’s Collegiate School and Tolcarne. The daily transition between school and Tolcarne occurs via the short walk to the boarding residence set in its park-like surroundings. The offsite nature of the boarding residence allows the girls to have some sense of ‘going home’ each afternoon.
Nelson College for Girls is a school with a very proud history. In its 130 years it has produced young women who have gone into the world with confidence and a sense of pride in achieving to the best of their abilities. Often they have been inspired by the successes of the women who have preceded them. Our motto ‘Pietas, Probitas et Sapientia’ – Loyalty, Honesty and Wisdom – sums up well the values and essence of our school.
Nelson Experience is a course especially designed for short-stay International Students to develop an appreciation and knowledge of the Nelson Region through participating in a range of outdoor pursuits.
English Speaking Course students
ESOL have classes in International House
English Speaking Course for Speakers of Other Languages – ESOL
In Years 9 and 10, an English Speaking Course for English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) is taught to students who require extra help to settle into the Junior School for their academic subjects. English grammar and language skills are taught with support from the International Director and Head of ESOL. Small classes mean students receive very individual instruction in ESOL.
In Years 11 to 13, an English Speaking Course for Academic Purposes focuses on managing the English language used in the academic area of the school. Credits through ESOL Unit Standards help the students to achieve credits towards their NCEA qualifications as well as improving their English language ability.
Assessments of students are made on arrival to determine the level of assistance required for ESOL students. This is based on reading, writing, listening and speaking abilities through group and individual testing.
Support can be arranged for extra help and private tuition for the Independent English Language Testing System (IELTS) in consultation with the International Director.
